1. Consent and application

By accessing or using KJVBibleSearch.net, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you download software through the official gated download process, you must also affirmatively accept the applicable download terms and product licence before the server authorises the download.

2. KJV Bible Search ecosystem

The ecosystem includes the official Website Version, Android App, WordPress Plugin v1.5.3 Security Hardened, and Universal HTML + Installable PWA v1.5.4 Security Hardened, together with associated Bible-search, chapter, audio, support, download, documentation and Prophetic Series content.

3. Licence to use the website

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, non-transferable licence to access and use the website for lawful Bible reading, study, search, listening, navigation and other ordinary permitted use. This website licence does not transfer ownership of our proprietary software, branding, artwork, documentation or original written content.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not use the site unlawfully, fraudulently, maliciously or in a manner that infringes another person's rights.
• Do not interfere with the site, its users, servers, security, availability, rate limits, authentication or protected resources.
• Do not introduce malware, destructive code or unauthorised automated traffic.
• Do not falsely represent a modified, historical, forked or independently distributed product as the unchanged current official KJV Bible Search release.
• Do not use KJV Bible Search branding in a manner likely to mislead users about origin, sponsorship, verification or endorsement.

5. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, ALPHA & OMEGA LIMITED owns or lawfully licenses the protectable rights in its original website content, software expression, interface materials, documentation, graphics, logos and other proprietary materials. Access does not assign those rights to you.

This clause does not claim proprietary copyright in public-domain material, ideas, methods, facts or any third-party/open-source material governed by a separate licence. GPL-covered WordPress code remains governed by GPL-2.0-or-later.

6. Scripture and authored content

The underlying King James / Authorized Version Bible text must be distinguished from KJV Bible Search proprietary material and from the separately authored Prophetic Series. The Company does not claim that inclusion of Scripture creates proprietary copyright in public-domain Scripture. The legal status of the Authorized Version is jurisdiction-specific, including special rights in the United Kingdom.

7. Third-party sites and services

The site may link to Google Play, Amazon, browser vendors, social platforms, ministry sites and other third parties. Unless expressly stated, we do not control or endorse third-party content, availability, privacy practices or terms.

8. Information and religious content

Website information is provided for general information, Bible study and reference. It is not legal, medical, financial or other professional advice. Authored prophetic or theological commentary is not represented as canonical Scripture.

9. Availability, changes and discontinuance

We may update, maintain, replace, suspend or discontinue a website feature or software release. Material changes to contractual terms will be identified by a new revision/date and will operate prospectively to the extent required by law.

10. Warranties and security

Subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, the site and free software are supplied on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, universal compatibility, perfect formatting, error-free browser translation, perfect Text-to-Speech pronunciation or absolute security.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss caused by third-party platforms, unauthorised modifications, incompatible hosting, browser/device limitations or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing excludes liability or remedies that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

12. Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, remedy or other mandatory right that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under New Zealand consumer law.

13. Disputes

A party raising a dispute should first give written notice describing the dispute and proposed resolution. The parties should attempt in good faith to resolve it before litigation, except where urgent injunctive, protective or other immediate relief is reasonably required.

14. Governing law

Subject to mandatory local consumer and other non-waivable rights, these Terms are governed by New Zealand law and disputes may be brought before the courts of New Zealand.

15. Severability and no waiver

If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be read down where lawful or severed to the minimum extent necessary. A failure to enforce a right does not by itself waive that right.

1. Our commitment

This Privacy Policy explains how ALPHA & OMEGA LIMITED handles personal information in connection with KJVBibleSearch.net, the Android App, WordPress Plugin, Universal Version, PWAs, downloads, support and related services.

2. Information we may receive

KJV Bible Search is designed to minimise collection. Depending on how you interact with us, information may include:

• information you voluntarily send by email or another direct communication channel;
• support correspondence and information you choose to include in it;
• short-lived essential server-session information used to operate the gated software-download agreement;
• limited download-acceptance records such as product, legal revision, acceptance-event number and UTC time where the download system records them; and
• ordinary technical/security records that may be generated by web hosting, servers, CDNs, firewalls or platform providers independently of behavioural analytics.

We do not describe technical server logging as impossible. The privacy commitment is that KJV Bible Search does not intentionally use behavioural advertising or analytics merely to profile Bible-reading activity where the current product configuration states that no such tracking is used.

3. Product-specific operation

Website

Bible search and reading functions are designed to operate without user accounts. Browser/device features such as Text-to-Speech or translation may be supplied by the user's browser or operating system.

Android App

The current app is described as providing offline Bible functions without KJV Bible Search behavioural analytics or advertising tracking. Google Play and the Android operating system operate under their own privacy terms.

WordPress Plugin

The plugin is designed to perform its Bible-search interface without collecting end-user profiles for ALPHA & OMEGA LIMITED. A website owner who installs the plugin remains responsible for that website's own privacy obligations and server logs.

Universal HTML + PWA

The Universal Version is designed to operate locally in the browser using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Bible data. Browser storage/service-worker caching used for PWA operation is functional storage, not behavioural advertising by KJV Bible Search.

4. Why we use information

Where we do handle personal information, we may use it to respond to communications, provide support, operate and secure the website/download gate, maintain records of contractual acceptance, investigate abuse or security events, comply with law, establish or defend legal rights, and administer the service.

5. Disclosure

We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to service providers that host or secure our systems, professional advisers, a successor to the relevant business/assets, or courts, regulators and law-enforcement bodies where required or authorised by law. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.

6. Overseas processing

Internet infrastructure, hosting, app stores and service providers may process information outside New Zealand. Where New Zealand privacy law applies, overseas disclosures will be handled in accordance with applicable requirements, including Privacy Act 2020 safeguards where required.

7. Sensitive information

We do not intentionally request sensitive personal information merely because a user reads or searches religious text. If you voluntarily send sensitive information in a support message, we will handle it only as reasonably necessary for the communication, legal obligations and applicable privacy law.

8. Cookies and local storage

The official download gate may use an essential short-lived session cookie so the server can remember product-specific acceptance. PWAs may use browser cache, service workers or local storage required for offline/installation functionality. Third-party destinations, including Amazon or Google Play, may use their own cookies or technologies after you leave or interact with those services.

9. Affiliate links

The Website or Android App may contain Amazon affiliate links. If used, Amazon controls its own referral technologies and privacy practices. KJV Bible Search does not receive a purchaser's private Amazon account data merely because a user follows an affiliate link.

10. Browser translation and Text-to-Speech

Browser translation and device/browser Text-to-Speech may be provided by third parties. Their processing is controlled by the relevant browser, operating system or service provider, not by this Privacy Policy.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No internet transmission, device, server or software system can be guaranteed absolutely secure.

12. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, legal compliance, security, dispute resolution or establishment/defence of legal rights, after which it should be deleted or anonymised where appropriate.

13. Access and correction

Where applicable law gives you rights to access or correct personal information held about you, you may request this using the contact details below. We may need reasonable information to verify the request.

14. Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled personal information, contact us with sufficient details to investigate. You may also have the right to complain to the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner or another competent regulator.

15. Children

KJV Bible Search does not intentionally require children to create accounts or submit personal information to use core Bible-search functions. If a child voluntarily contacts us, applicable privacy and parental-consent requirements will be respected where required.

16. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices, products, providers or legal obligations change. The current version will display its effective date and revision.

1. Scripture text

KJV Bible Search provides the King James / Authorized Version Bible text. ALPHA & OMEGA LIMITED does not claim proprietary copyright in public-domain Scripture merely because it is presented through its products. Rights in the Authorized Version are jurisdiction-specific, including special United Kingdom rights.

2. Accuracy and presentation

Reasonable care is taken in presenting Scripture, but formatting, punctuation, verse presentation, browser rendering, data conversion or software defects may occur. Users requiring authoritative publication-grade verification should compare the passage with an appropriate authorised source.

3. Translation

Browser-generated translation is controlled by the user's browser or service provider. Machine translation can alter wording, tone and theological nuance and should not be treated as an authoritative translation of Scripture.

4. Text-to-Speech

Speech synthesis depends on the browser, operating system, installed voices and device. Pronunciation and timing may vary.

5. Prophetic Series and commentary

The Prophetic Series and other authored commentary are human-authored theological works and must be distinguished from canonical KJV Scripture. They express the author's interpretations and are not represented as part of the biblical text.

6. No professional advice

KJV Bible Search is for Bible reading, study, educational and general-reference purposes. It does not provide legal, medical, financial or other regulated professional advice.

7. Third-party services

External websites, Google Play, Amazon, browsers, operating systems, translation services, speech engines and social platforms are controlled by third parties. Their content, availability and policies are outside our direct control.

8. Liability and mandatory rights

Any disclaimer applies only to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in this Disclaimer removes consumer guarantees, remedies or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

PART D — DATA DELETION & PRIVACY REQUEST POLICY

Data Deletion & Privacy Request Policy

1. Purpose

This page explains how a person may request access, correction or deletion of personal information actually held by ALPHA & OMEGA LIMITED in connection with the KJV Bible Search Ecosystem.

2. No user account required for core Bible functions

The current KJV Bible Search architecture is designed so that core Bible search/reading functions do not require a KJV Bible Search user account. Accordingly, there may be no account profile or centrally stored Bible-reading history for us to delete.

3. Information that may exist

Depending on the interaction, records may include support correspondence, voluntarily supplied contact information, limited download-agreement records, and operational/security records held in systems under our control. Hosting providers, Google Play, browsers, devices, WordPress site owners and other third parties may hold separate information under their own policies.

4. How to request deletion

Email Contact@kjvbiblesearch.net and identify the information or interaction concerned. We may request reasonable information necessary to locate records and verify that the requester is entitled to make the request.

5. What we can delete

Where we hold personal information and deletion is legally appropriate, we will delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period. We cannot delete information we do not hold or control.

6. Lawful retention

We may retain information where reasonably necessary or legally required for security, fraud prevention, contractual evidence, legal claims, tax/accounting obligations, regulatory compliance, backups pending normal rotation, or other lawful purposes. Any retained information remains subject to applicable privacy and security obligations.

7. Browser/PWA local data

PWA caches, service workers and browser storage may reside on the user's own device. Users can ordinarily remove an installed PWA and clear site/browser storage using their browser or device controls. Such local deletion does not necessarily delete records independently held by a hosting or platform provider.

8. WordPress installations

For third-party WordPress sites using the plugin, the website owner/administrator controls that site's server, logs, plugins and privacy practices. Requests concerning data collected by that independent site should be directed to that site's operator.

9. Rights

Nothing in this policy limits access, correction, deletion, objection, complaint or other privacy rights available under applicable law.

PART E — SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD AGREEMENT

Software Download Agreement

1. Official gated downloads

This Agreement governs downloads made through ALPHA & OMEGA LIMITED's official KJV Bible Search download gate, including kjv-bible-search.zip and kjv-bible-search-universal.zip, and future official replacement packages expressly identified by the Company.

2. Acceptance

The downloader must affirmatively complete all required acceptance controls before the server authorises the selected ZIP. The applicable Terms revision and product-specific licence form part of the download agreement.

3. WordPress package

The WordPress Plugin's GPL-covered code is governed by GPL-2.0-or-later. The clickwrap does not revoke or add restrictions to GPL rights after lawful receipt. Separate rights concerning trade marks, false official-release claims, confidential signing material and non-GPL third-party material remain applicable.

4. Universal package

The Universal HTML + Installable PWA package is proprietary except for public-domain material and components expressly subject to separate licences. Its use is governed by the Universal Software Licence Agreement and the general Terms.

5. Official release integrity

Official packages may include hashes, signed manifests, integrity data, release fingerprints and a public verification key. These are intended to provide tamper evidence and provenance. They do not make modification technically impossible.

6. Direct URL access

The official server may route direct public ZIP requests through the agreement gate. Circumventing access controls for an unlawful purpose is prohibited, subject to mandatory statutory exceptions.

7. Superseded releases

Older releases may be declared obsolete or unsupported. A later Terms revision does not retroactively revoke an irrevocable open-source licence or other right already granted under applicable law.

8. Priority

Priority is: mandatory law; component-specific third-party/open-source licence; separately signed written agreement; product-specific KJV Bible Search licence; this Download Agreement; then general Website Terms.

1. Licence controlling the plugin code

The plugin identifies its covered software code as licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or any later version (GPL-2.0-or-later). The GPL controls the rights to use, study, copy, modify and redistribute GPL-covered code. No KJV Bible Search term adds a restriction to rights the GPL grants for that covered code.

2. Official distribution versus GPL rights

The Company's clickwrap controls access to the Company's own official download channel. After lawful receipt, GPL-covered code remains subject to the GPL. Redistribution or modification must comply with the GPL's own conditions.

3. Ownership and retained rights

No licence is granted to falsely claim that a fork, modified package or historical release is the unchanged current Official Release. Trade marks, logos, passing-off rights, confidential signing material and third-party rights operate separately from the GPL.

4. Modifications and new materials

A person who lawfully modifies GPL-covered code may own copyright in their original contribution to the extent provided by law, while the underlying covered code remains subject to its applicable rights. Nothing here assigns that contributor's new copyright to ALPHA & OMEGA LIMITED unless a separate written assignment says so.

5. Integrity and signatures

The public verification key may be used for legitimate verification. The private release-signing key is confidential and is not licensed. Hashes, signatures, release fingerprints and authenticity statements must not be forged or falsified to deceive users about official status.

6. Branding

KJV Bible Search names, logos and source-identifying branding must not be used in a way likely to mislead users about origin, sponsorship, verification or endorsement. Modified distributions should be clearly identified as modified.

7. Scripture and third-party material

No proprietary ownership is claimed over public-domain Scripture merely because it is bundled with the plugin. Jurisdiction-specific Authorized Version rights and all separate third-party/open-source licences remain applicable.

8. Warranties and liability

Subject to mandatory rights, the plugin is supplied without promises of uninterrupted operation, universal compatibility or absolute security. Liability limitations in the general Terms apply only to the extent permitted by law.

9. Termination

Rights under the GPL are governed by the GPL, including its own termination/reinstatement provisions. General proprietary or branding permissions may end for material breach to the extent permitted by law, but this does not rewrite GPL rights.

10. Governing framework

Mandatory law and the GPL take priority over inconsistent general website terms for GPL-covered code. New Zealand law otherwise governs the Company's separate proprietary rights and contractual terms, subject to non-waivable local rights.

PART G — UNIVERSAL HTML + PWA SOFTWARE LICENCE

1. Licensed IP

“Licensed IP” means the original proprietary KJV Bible Search Universal software expression, original interface materials, documentation, graphics, release metadata and other protectable proprietary material supplied in the official Universal package, excluding public-domain material and components governed by a separate licence.

2. Purpose and licence grant

Subject to this Agreement and the general Terms, ALPHA & OMEGA LIMITED grants the lawful recipient a limited, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable licence to install and operate unmodified official copies on websites, servers and compatible devices the recipient is authorised to administer, for lawful KJV Bible Search operation.

3. Ownership

The licence does not assign ownership of the Company's Licensed IP. All rights not expressly granted are reserved, subject to public-domain status, third-party licences and mandatory statutory rights.

4. Permitted copies

Normal execution, browser caching, service-worker caching and technically necessary operational copies are permitted. Backup, interoperability, error-correction, observation, testing, security-research and similar rights that applicable law makes non-excludable remain unaffected.

5. Restrictions

Except where mandatory law or a separate licence permits otherwise, you must not:

• sell, sublicense, rent, lease, republish or redistribute the proprietary package as another downloadable product;
• extract proprietary components for incorporation into another product or service;
• copy protected expression to create or distribute an unauthorised derivative product;
• remove or falsify legal, provenance, integrity or authenticity information in order to misrepresent source or official status;
• represent an altered, forked, combined or repackaged build as the unchanged current Official Release; or
• use KJV Bible Search branding in a misleading manner likely to imply sponsorship, certification or endorsement.

6. Improvements and user-created material

This Agreement does not automatically transfer to the Company copyright in independently created material merely because it interoperates with the software. Any assignment of new intellectual property must be made by a separate legally effective agreement where required.

7. Security and integrity

The public verification key may be used to verify official releases. The private signing key is confidential and not licensed. Security hardening and integrity checks are tamper-evident controls, not a guarantee that alteration is technically impossible.

8. Confidential information

Non-public private signing keys, credentials and other information clearly confidential by nature must not be acquired, disclosed or used without authority. Publicly distributed source files, public keys and public documentation are not confidential merely because they relate to the product.

9. Warranties

Subject to mandatory consumer and other rights, the software is supplied on an “as is” and “as available” basis without additional promises of universal hosting compatibility, uninterrupted availability, error-free operation or absolute security.

10. Liability and proportionate responsibility

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss that applicable law permits to be excluded. Liability is reduced to the extent loss was caused or contributed to by the other party's acts or omissions. Nothing excludes liability that law prohibits excluding.

11. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, a business or non-consumer licensee must indemnify the Company for direct third-party claims and reasonable costs caused by that licensee's deliberate unauthorised redistribution of proprietary material, fraudulent official-release impersonation, unlawful use of Company branding, misuse of confidential signing material, or infringement caused by content the licensee adds. The indemnity is reduced to the extent the Company caused or contributed to the loss.

12. Termination

The Company may terminate this proprietary licence for material breach. Where the breach can reasonably be cured, the licensee will be given a reasonable opportunity to cure it where notice is practicable. Serious deliberate piracy, fraudulent impersonation or theft/misuse of confidential signing credentials may justify immediate action where lawful.

13. Effect of termination

On effective termination, the licensee must cease use and distribution of the proprietary Licensed IP except to the extent retention is required by law or a separate licence applies. Accrued rights, confidentiality, IP ownership, liability provisions intended to survive and mandatory rights remain unaffected.

14. Disputes

Before ordinary court proceedings, the parties should give written notice and attempt good-faith resolution. They may agree to mediation. This does not prevent urgent injunctive or equitable relief.

15. Governing law

Subject to mandatory local rights, this Agreement is governed by New Zealand law and the parties submit to New Zealand courts.

16. Entire agreement and priority

Priority is: mandatory law; component-specific third-party/open-source licence; separately signed written agreement; this product licence; then the general Website Terms.

PART H — ANDROID APP END-USER LICENCE AGREEMENT

1. Licence

We grant the lawful recipient a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable end-user licence to install and run the official Android App on compatible devices controlled by that user for lawful KJV Bible Search use, subject to this EULA, applicable Google Play terms and mandatory law.

2. Ownership

The app is licensed, not sold. No ownership of proprietary KJV Bible Search software, branding, artwork or documentation transfers to the user.

3. Restrictions

Except where law expressly provides otherwise, users must not extract, repackage, redistribute, sell, sublicense or publish a modified Android package as an official KJV Bible Search application, or use branding to create false source or endorsement confusion.

4. Mandatory software exceptions

Qualifying statutory rights relating to interoperability, decompilation, security research, maintenance or other non-waivable exceptions remain unaffected.

5. Google Play and third parties

Google Play controls store distribution, installation, updates and platform services under Google's own terms. Browser, operating-system, Text-to-Speech and external-link services may also be subject to third-party terms.

6. Privacy

Actual app behaviour must remain consistent with the current KJV Bible Search Privacy Policy and applicable Google Play Data Safety declarations.

7. Updates

The Company may provide compatibility, feature or security updates. Mandatory digital-content update rights, where applicable, are not excluded.

8. Warranties, liability and consumer rights

Any disclaimer or limitation operates only to the extent permitted by law. Non-excludable consumer guarantees and remedies remain unaffected.

9. Termination

This licence may terminate for material breach subject to applicable law. Provisions concerning ownership, misuse of branding, accrued rights and limitations intended by their nature to survive may continue after termination.

10. Governing law

Subject to mandatory local consumer rights, New Zealand law governs this EULA.
